Each room of this 18th century home was designed to sharpen the original architectural details, and showcase the client's extensive collection of old master drawings. Original millwork was stripped back of its encrusted layers of paint, antique Gustavian furniture and wallcovering in a soft eau de Nil silk were chosen for the dining room for a subtle and sophisticated style, while several different seating arrangements in the library are an invitation to linger in family conversation or in quiet solitude with books. Gracious and comfortable custom furniture was designed and upholstered in an eclectic mix of fabrics that include chintz, suzani, plaid and block prints.
